The Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School was founded on the belief that every child is born with many different intelligences. Our School's environment is designed to identify, nurture and develop each child's intelligences and provide the learning opportunities and experiences needed to enable each child to become creative thinkers, problem solvers, responsible citizens and appreciators of the arts.
PPACS harnesses the most innovative teaching and learning techniques, utilizing the arts as a catalyst, and serves as a model format for education in the 21st century. The arts humanize the curriculum while affirming the interconnectedness of all forms of knowledge. Students enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade are offered a rigorous academic curriculum, as well as an arts program that includes Visual Arts, Ballet, Instrumental Music, and Vocals. Creative Writing, Technology and French Language classes support the academic connection to the arts.
